StarMedia (canal em inglês, com todo o conteúdo em inglês)http://www.starmediafilm.com/ (cliquem na bandeira inglesa, para mudar o idioma do site)
Star Media Group was founded in 2006. Presently, Star Media is one of the leaders in production and distribution of theatrical and television movies, telenovelas and series, TV shows and docudramas successful on leading television channels in Russia, CIS and abroad.
Star Media Group has its own shooting stages, shooting equipment, pool of special transport and postproduction studios in Moscow (Russia), Kiev (Ukraine) and Astana (Kazakhstan). The Group’s production companies produce annually over 600 hours of telenovelas, prime time series, dozens of TV movies and theatrical movies as well. As of 2014, Star Media’s library of rights comprised about 4,000 hours of finished content produced by the Group in various genres.
The movies and series produced by Star Media are invariably rated high and regularly reach the Top-10 of the pop charts on the leading TV channels in Russia and CIS. Among them are the series “The Cop”, “The Cardsharp”, “Kill Stalin”, “Anna German”, “Trouble in Store”, “Once upon a Time in Odessa”, “Kotovskiy”, “Sky on Fire”, “The River Wide”, “Spies Must Die!”, “The Trap”, “Northern Wind”, “In the Forests and Mountains”, “Thank You for Everything”, the docudrama “The Great Patriotic War”, the animated cycles “The History of the Russian State” and “Napoleonic Wars in Russia”, TV feature films “The Grass under Snow”, “Downsizing the Family”, “Anti-Sniper”, “Time to Be Happy” and a lot more.
Star Media Group actively develops the production of full length theatrical films, including in co-production. Among its theatrical releases are the adventure comedy “O, Luckyman!” (2009, directed by Eduard Parri), and the psychological thriller “The Weather Station” (2010, directed by Johnny O’Reilly). In 2011 the rights to “The Weather Station” were purchased by Hollywood studios for producing a remake and distributing it in the USA.
Based on the facilities of its own 3D animation and graphics studio Babich-Design, the Group develops formats of historical animated cycles and docudramas unique in Russia and the CIS countries which compete successfully with the best western educational and popular science programs (“The Romanovs”, “Soviet Storm: WW2 in the East”, “The History of the Russian State”, “The Battle for Moscow”, “The Holy Baptism of Russia” and others). In 2009, Babich-Design became the only studio in CIS that was enlisted as one of the priority vendors of graphics and 3D animation for the BBC TV channels. In 2011, the docudrama “Soviet Storm: WW2 in the East”, fully dubbed in English as “Soviet Strom”, was released on the History channels (UK).
The Group successfully develops international sales of its content. The broadcast rights to Star Media’s content are acquired by TV channels from Eastern and Western Europe, China, Japan, the USA, Israel, Middle East countries and countries in other regions.
