Aqui está algo que eu adoraria ter em CD, infelizmente apenas saiu em MP3 Evil or Very Mad e eu recuso-me a pagar por essas coisas...

Dracula was arguably Hammer’s most famous character from the 1950s to the 1970s, but the company produced many other vampire films. This collection presents highlights from them all, beginning with James Bernard’s opening titles and ‘The Vampire Rhapsody’ from the classic The Kiss Of The Vampire. The work of Harry Robinson, another prolific Hammer composer, is celebrated with tracks from The Vampire Lovers, Countess Dracula, Twins of Evil and Lust For A Vampire, including that film’s vocal number ‘Strange Love’. Highlights from David Whitaker’s dark and mysterious music for Vampire Circus give way to a collection of cues from the epic The Legend Of The 7 Golden Vampires, James Bernard’s final score for a Hammer film. Laurie Johnson’s theme from the underrated Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter closes the collection in flamboyant style.

Hammer’s long career in X-rated cinema began with The Quatermass Xperiment in 1955. This collection of original music includes the opening titles from this cinematic milestone alongside additional cues from Quatermass 2 and the final film in the trilogy, Quatermass And The Pit. The musical accompaniment to Hammer’s earliest horror films was composed by James Bernard in a stark and chilling style that anticipated Bernard Hermann’s Psycho by five years. Tristram Cary’s orchestral tracks for Quatermass And The Pit (1967) are presented alongside a section of his electronic music and the closing credits music by Dennis Farnon. This remarkable collection is completed by the rousing title music from Moon Zero Two, composed by Don Ellis and performed by Julie Driscoll.

A compilation of soundtrack music from Hammer films, digitally restored from the original recordings. The sinister theme for The Curse Of Frankenstein, Hammer’s first gothic horror, begins this collection of tracks drawn from all seven of Hammer’s Frankenstein films. James Bernard was Hammer’s most prolific composer, and a selection of cues from the classic Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed and the haunting Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell also bear his unmistakeable sound. Other composers represented on this album are Leonard Salzedo (The Revenge Of Frankenstein), Don Banks (The Evil Of Frankenstein) and Malcolm Williamson (The Horror Of Frankenstein).
