MODUS OPERANDI is a spirited exploitation flick equipped with some raunchy gore, a dose of full frontal nudity and a couple intermissions both unique and creative in nature. The cinematography is beautiful, and Frankie Latina’s (who also wrote, directed and starred in the feature) editing is artsy, to put it mildly. Also integral to the quality of the picture is the soundtrack; from the porn themes of the 1970’s to the natural eeriness of a strong breeze, the films sounds mirror the films visuals to form a perfect companionship, which in turn only helps to accentuate Latina‘s artistic approach. While Latina’s script is a little hazy in spots, his ambition and earnest passion make up for his minor deficiencies (namely inexperience).
